Kira Toshiuji (吉良俊氏)
Toshiuji KIRA (year of birth and death unknown) is a busho (Japanese military commander) in the early Muromachi period. He was the son of Mitsusada KIRA. He was the owner of Saijo-jo Castle. He is the second lord of the Saijokira clan (the Uekira). His childhood name was Saburo. His rank was Jugoinoge (Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade) and Sahyoe no suke. His wife was the daughter of Ryoshun IMAGAWA. His children include Yoshinao KIRA, Yoriuji KIRA, and Yoshizane KIRA. His second son, Yoriuji, was adopted by Yoriharu KIRA of the Kira clan of Oshu (Musashi).
He served as the hikitsuke tonin (the chief of the judicial board) of the Muromachi bakufu. After hikitsuke jyo was abolished, he was assigned to Mushagashira, a director of Mushadokoro, which is an administrative institution of the police escort for Imperial Palace, in June, 1398.
He took part in Oei War. He joined the Sanjo side when Ichijo Dainagon (chief councilor) and a certain Sanjo started to fight near his house in July, 1419.
His posthumous Buddhist name is 竜門寺殿宝山常珍大禅定門.
